Bar Biz

A short clip of Biz Markie DJing alongside his MC Cool V, secretly recorded at a live show some time ago. I hope this recording shines some light on Biz’s oft disputed claim of having a promo 12″ of Bob James “Take Me To The Mardi Gras’ with a 4 bar open break without bells. Well..that is what you hear in this short clip, but he was playing with serato so not conclusive evidence of its actual existence. Suggestions are that he has panned a stereo recording with only the bells in one channel, which I guess is easily possible… So…is this the real deal? Or is it just another amazing figment of The Diabolical’s imagination, or maybe ust a hoax to wind the trainspotters up? Whatever it is, it’s a bit of hip hop history and here it is in all it’s un-bell like glory! Enjoy…
